The first school year is for my daughter now over. Tomorrow is the last school day and the summer holidays starts and we are looking forward to our holiday. This year passed by so quickly. And I’m really surprised how fast my daughter has learned reading, writing and arithmetic. At my first school year I can’t remember me so well 😉 Thus, this is also the last bento for this school year for her. But I think that I certainly make the one or the other bento in the holidays for her.
Unfortunately I have to work next week, but then it goes for a week on vacation. So if I manage, I well prepare a theme bento to our destination. You may be curious ^^
For the sleeping dogs I have formed the still warm rice in plastic wrap to the dogs. The muzzles I cut out of goat cheese and the paws from salami. Eyes, nose and hair are as always punched out of nori. For the collars I’ve used thin red paprika strips. And as pendant I’ve used a pea.
For the blanket I have separated egg white and yolk. Then I’ve fried the egg yolk and cut into strips. Lay the yolk strips with some distance back into the pan and filled the gaps with the egg white. So you get the zebra pattern 🙂

Ein Jahr Schule sind für meine Tochter nun schon rum. Morgen fangen die Sommerferien bei uns an und wir freuen uns schon sehr auf den Urlaub. Das Jahr ist wirklich wie im Flug vergangen. Und ich bin wirklich sehr erstaunt wie schnell meine Tochter Rechnen, Lesen und Schreiben gelernt hat. An mein erstes Schuljahr kann ich mich nämlich nicht mehr so gut erinnern 😉 Somit ist das auch das letzte Bento für dieses Schuljahr. Aber ich denke, dass ich in den Ferien bestimmt noch das ein oder andere Bento für sie zubereiten werden 😉
Leider muss ich nächste Woche noch arbeiten, aber dann geht es für eine Woche ab in den Urlaub. Wenn ich es schaffe werde ich zu unserem Reiseziel noch ein Themenbento vorbereiten. Also seid gespannt ^^
Für die schlafenden Hunde habe ich den noch warmen Reis in Frischhaltefolie zu Hunden geformt und erkalten lassen. Die Schnauzen habe ich aus Ziegenkäse ausgestochen und die Pfoten aus Salami. Augen, Nase und Haare sind wie immer aus Nori ausgestanzt. Für die Halsbänder habe ich dünne rote Paprikastreifen verwendet. Und als Anhänger habe ich jeweils eine Erbse genommen.
Für die Bettdecke habe ich Eiweiß und Eigelb getrennt. Dann erst das Eigelb gebraten und in Streifen geschnitten. Die Eigelb-Streifen mit etwas Abstand wieder in die Pfanne legen und die Lücken mit dem Eiweiß aufgefüllt. So bekommt ihr das Zebramuster hin 🙂
