NIGIRI SUSHI WITH ELL

Ingredients

3 cups of cooked sushi rice, flavored with vinegar sauce

1/2 lb smoked eel, cut into 6 cm pieces

Soy sauce

1 1/2 tablespoons sesame seeds

Nori sheets for wrapping cut into 8-9 cm long and 2 cm wide strips.

Directions

Wet your hands with water and vinegar mixture and make 6 cm long and 2cm thick rice sticks. Place the eel pieces on rice sticks and press with your index finger.

Wrap with the nori strip and secure with soy sauce by using it like glue. Brush with some soy sauce and sprinkle sesame seeds. Repeat until all rice and eel are used. Enjoy!

Note: Follow the basic sushi rice recipe to cook sushi rice.

MAKI SUSHI WITH TUNA & SPRIN ONIONSonions

Ingredients

4 sheets of nori, cut into half

4 ounces sushi-grade tuna

6 cups of sushi rice, cooked

1 cup sliced spring onions

Soy sauce & wasabi for serving

Directions

Cut the nori sheets into four by 7 1/2 inches. Similarly, cut the tuna into thin strips of 1-inch thickness and 7 1/2 inches long.

Place the nori sheet over a sushi bamboo sheet of plastic wrap; spread about 3/4 cup of rice over it, leaving 1 cm space to your side.

Top with tuna sticks lengthwise and sprinkle spring onions; carefully roll the sushi mat/plastic wrap into a roll while firming up with your hands so that everything comes in place and stick to each other, giving you a nice sushi roll. Prepare all rolls in this way and then…..

SUSHI WITH CAVIAR

Ingredients

1 sheet of nori (seaweed) cut into half

1/4 cup cooked dragon fish, cut into 1/2 inch thick sticks

120 gram cooked sushi rice

2 slices avocado

4 tablespoons Tobiko (Japanese caviar)

Directions

Take one half of the nori sheet and spread half of the cooked sushi rice over it; leaving about 1 cm space along the nearest length. Sprinkle a generous amount of caviar over rice and flip it over a nonstick sushi mat or plastic wrap.

To the other side of the nori sheet, spread avocado slices and cooked dragon fish; carefully roll the sushi mat and firm with your hands so that everything comes in place.

Remove the sushi mat and slice the sushi roll with a sharp knife into….

SHRIMP TEMAKI SUSHI (hand-rolled sushi)

Ingredients

1/2 cup sushi rice (cooked and seasoned)

1 sheet nori (seaweed)

1/2 cup cooked mini shrimps

1/4 teaspoon toasted white & black sesame seeds

1 tablespoon green onions

1 teaspoon tobiko

Directions

In a small bowl, add mini shrimps, caviar, green onions, and toasted white sesame seeds; mix to combine everything.

Cut the nori sheet in half, lengthwise; spread half of the sushi rice to the left corner of the nori sheet. Top with half of the shrimp mixture and fold the bottom left corner until a cone shape is formed….
