Hokuriku Plus Bar – bento.com listing

This standing bar inside a regional antenna shop showcases sake from Toyama, Ishikawa and Fukui Prefectures – collectively known as the Hokuriku region. Between the selection behind the bar and the self-service sake dispensers, they boast the largest collection of Hokuriku sake in Kansai.

When you order at the bar, sake comes in 60ml servings, or three-part tasting flights of 45ml each. Tiny, salty delicacies like dried firely squid are available to accompany your drinks.

To explore the sake from the self-service dispensers you’ll need to purchase tokens. These are priced at Y300 each, or Y1,000 for a set of four. After inserting your token, hold your cup under the spigot and press the button, and a 40ml tasting-size portion of sake will be poured.

If you find a sake you like, you can purchase a bottle at the attached antenna shop. They also sell local foods and handicrafts from the region, including some lovely sake servingware.
