MAGURO (TUNA) NIGIRI
GLUTEN-FREE, NUT-FREE, PESCATARIAN
Bright-red, fresh maguro is tantalizing and has a light taste, so it is a great nigiri starter. Nonfat maguro (which is not toro) is very healthy. It is low in calories (3 slices of maguro have about 40 kcal) and high in protein, vitamin B, and vitamin D. The prep time is 20 minutes, but it may become shorter once you get used to making the proper shape with the nigiri sushi rice.

Ingredients:
2 cups Sushi RiceWasabi½ pound sashimi-grade tuna, sliced2 tablespoons Pickled Sushi GingerSoy sauce (gluten-free if necessary)
COOKING TIP: Wet your hands and the tablespoon before touching the sushi rice, so the rice doesn’t stick.
INGREDIENT TIP: If you prefer not to use wasabi, skip that part of the step.
Directions:
