Have a coffee adventure at the tastefully minimalist Ogawa Coffee Laboratory, where you can select any of 19 different single-origin beans and blends. The theme of the shop is “Experience-based Bean Salon,” so go ahead, give the beans a sniff!
You can choose from pour-over (hot only), espresso variations (hot or iced), or Aeropress treatment for whatever beans you select. In addition to coffee they serve desserts and stock an impressive range of coffee-making equipment, for home or cafe.
The original Ogawa Coffee Lab is in Kyoto, where they seem to have something of a cult following. The Shimo-Kitazawa branch is also popular but there’s plenty of space to handle customers, with comfortable benches along one wall and several more benches just out front.
