Instant Golden Syrup Mug Pudding – Hiroko’s Recipes


If you occasionally crave Golden Syrup Pudding like me, you should try this super quick and easy instant mug version. Ingredients are same as the oven baked version. If you have a microwave, it would take only five minutes to make it.

Makes

1 Serving *I used 380ml mug

Ingredients

10g Butter
2 tablespoons Sugar
2 tablespoons Milk
4 tablespoons (1/4 cup) Self-Raising Flour
Thickened Cream to serve

Sauce
1/4 cup Boiling Water
10g Butter
1 tablespoon Golden Syrup
1 teaspoon Brown Sugar *optional
1/2 teaspoon Lemon Juice

Method

Place Butter and Milk in a large mug, microwave for 30 seconds OR until Butter melts. Add Sugar and Self-Raising Flour, and mix well until smooth.

In a heat-proof measuring jug, combine the Sauce ingredients, and gently pour it over the batter using a spoon so that the mixture won’t hit the batter directly.

Place the mug on a plate just in case the sauce overflows, and microwave for 1 to 1 to 1 & 1/2 minutes OR until cooked. I cooked for 1 minute and 15 seconds in 1000W microwave.

Enjoy hot with Thickened Cream. *Note: I added whipped Thickened Cream.
